Accounting Analyst

Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES

As an accounting analyst, you will be responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures in analyzing financial information, preparing accurate and timely financial reports to management. Responsible for ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures and executing routine and recurring complex accounting functions for the Central Bank. Other duties include the following:

  • Ensure data processing and record keeping into the accounting system accurately and on timely;

  • Review and produces monthly financial statement report to management on timely;

  • Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements;

  • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures;

  • Ensure all invoice payment are processing on timely within deadlines;

  • Performs and produces daily bank account reconciliation, monthly bank account reconciliation within deadlines;

  • Improve existing processes and implement new processes related to financial reporting that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Performs other tasks assigned to him/her by the supervisor;

Qualification:

The candidate should have at least a degree in accounting with at least one-year experience in handling financial reporting. Holder of Certified Public Accountant is a plus. The candidate should have excellent spoken and written in English and/or Portuguese as well as excellent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as a condition. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills with strong moral character and has good analytical skills.
