Cooperation Officer - Financial Information Unit
Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES
Providing support and coordination to the cooperation between UIF and external partners. Other duties include the following:

Assist in building up, strengthening and maintaining an effective network of contacts with external partner institutions;

Prepare relevant working arrangements and cooperation plans and support the negotiations leading to agreements;

Administering request of information from local competent authority or foreign Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs);

Perform liaison duties with Law enforcement agencies in specific matters related to cooperation;

Acting as primary contact point for the implementation of AML/CFT public awareness raising program;

In closed coordination with the Financial Analyst conducting research on the risks of money laundering and financing of terrorism in Timor-Leste and produce typology reports.

Performing other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor or the Executive Director.
Qualification:
The candidate should have a degree in any of the following areas: International Relationship Law, Portuguese or English major, or another related field. Minimum of three years working experiences in financial institutions, accounting, audit areas, and law firms. The candidate should have good spoken and written in English and/or Portuguese languages as well as excellent in Microsoft Word and Excel programs as a condition. The candidate should have good analytical skills; good communication skills; interpersonal relationship behavior, teamwork, strong commitment to prioritize work, and strong moral character.
